The Valley of the Kings will have reason to get glamed up as the Luxor Egyptian & European Film Festival will be returning from the 24th to the 31st of January. Entering their third edition, the Luxor Egyptian & European Film Festival looks to keep the momentum building for their biggest festival yet. Organised by the Noon Foundation for Culture and Arts with help from Egyptian Ministry of Culture as well as public and private organisations in Egypt and Europe, the Luxor Egyptian & European Film aims to showcase the finest films directed by both Egyptian and Europeans.
It's your chance to enjoy your time to attend Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival 3rd Edition 24 – 31 Jan which is an occasion to introduce Luxor as a capital of pharaonic monuments . You can enjoy watching the Egyptian and European films by equipped showrooms in order to present the cultural character of Egypt and Europe . Opening and closing ceremony will be in Luxor temple and Karnak temple . Many surprises are waiting for you during Luxor Egyptian & European Film Festival , first is the opening film " the wife of the Pharaoh " this German film produced in 1922 , second is the Egyptian film " the island 2 " for lovers of suspense movies , and the big surprise will be showing a first seen film
Third edition of the Luxor Egyptian and European Film Festival opens 24 January, at Luxor’s Karnak Temple, and runs to 31 January with screenings at Luxor Culture Palace, Luxor Conference Centre, and Luxor Rowing Club. The opening takes place in the courtyard of Karnak Temple, screening a restoration of Ernst Lubitcsh’s 1922 film The Wife of the Pharoah.
The Luxor Egyptian & European Film Festival, in its third edition, will be held from January 24 to 31, 2015, at the following venues: Luxor Conference Centre, Luxor Culture Palace, Tood Youth Centre, and Luxor Rowing Club. Al Bawaba’s Soha El Ramly visited Magda Wassef, festival’s president, for a brief of this year’s edition.
On its 3rd edition starting on 24th of January, Luxor Egyptian & European Film Festival shows 66 films this year and dedicating this edition to the late great Egyptian actress and legend Faten Hamama who passed away on 17th of January 2015.
